I didn’t do a regular meal plan this week since I cooked all day on Saturday, I had no desire to even think about food on Sunday.  I ended up making a breakfast sammie on a dinner roll – egg beaters, ham, cheese and spinach.  I picked up that fruit, I don’t know what the name of it was, but it is the size of a cantaloupe, looks like one from the outside, but tastes like a honeydew melon.

I am starting week 4 of Bite Size Fitness’s free strength program.  Truth be told I am only following it about 70%, but some strength is better than none, right?

Then finished off with a 2.25 mile walk at 5% incline.

On my way to work I stopped at the store to get stuff off the salad bar – my favorite dressing was on sale too – Annie’s light Goddess – love that stuff!

For some reason when I was leaving the gym, I grabbed the monthly group fitness class schedule.  I noticed that the Zumba class no longer had a $ sign next to it, which meant that the class was free to members.  I’ve never taken a Zumba class before.  I have good rhythm when it comes to music, but having my feet and arms do two different things at once?  Um, not that coordinated.  The class started at 5:00, but luckily my office is literally 1 minute from the gym, and she didn’t start on time.  I have to tell you, I almost chickened out, but I put this picture on Instagram asking for pep talks, and you guys made me go to the class.

Well guess what?  I loved it!  It was a 50 minute class and it went by so fast, and I was even a bit sweaty at the end.  I was able to keep up with about 90% of the moves – some of the fast paced salsa dancing was a bit confusing to me, but I know I’ll get better – the instructor must do some of the routines over and over because half of the class knew what was coming next.  I’ll definitely go next Monday.  I am glad I got outside my comfort zone – it’s easy to just stay where you feel safe, but how will you know you like something if you don’t jump outside that comfort zone every once in a while?

Did I mention that Hannah has a Pinterest page that says “stuff I want my Mom to make?”  Basically a lot of dishes she’d like for me to try that she knows she will probably like.  Last night was gnocchi with turkey sausage, spinach, red sauce and mozzarella cheese.  I got this Jennie-O turkey sausage, it was really good and only 160 calories a link.  While the water came to a boil for the gnocchi, I sauteed the sausage.  When that was almost done, I threw in the pasta sauce, chopped baby spinach, and then tossed in the cooked gnocchi and sprinkled with about an ounce of mozzarella cheese and stirred it all together.  It was the first time Jacob had ever had gnocchi and he had two helpings – he loved it!

And did you know that yesterday was National Popcorn Day?  So I made some popcorn and used Cabot’s popcorn cheese on it – so good!

Tomorrow is my WI day – hopefully there will be a loss this week!  Gotta scoot – I didn’t put my food or gym bag together last night, and I still have to take a shower and I have to leave in 20 minutes – no problem! Open-mouthed smile Make it a great day!  And thanks for all your kind words about Leila yesterday – I really appreciate it.  This is her big sister – Hannah and Jacob babysat yesterday afternoon – now Dahlia will get all the love!
