10 1/2 hours of sleep!

This is going to be super quick because we have storms rolling in and I have to shut down our computer.   Heather, I finally used the last of the Starbuck’s gift card you sent me and got a protein box from there – I just added the strawberries.  I love picky type breakfast plates like this.  Now that the gift card is used up I will need to start making my own.  All these pics were taken with my iPhone too – I don’t like to bring my good camera to the restaurant – you just never know!

Work was busy – one of my bosses was leaving early and needed to get stuff done.  Before I knew it, it was time to pick up the pizza for our farewell luncheon for one of the secretaries who quit.  You know she was well liked when you throw a go away pizza party for someone who quits!  We’ll miss you Cassie!

My plate was half a slice of the spinach and mushroom deep dish and a square of the sausage and pepperoni – so good!

Work at the restaurant was busy – while I wasn’t able to upsell a whole lot, I had a great time with all my tables.  The way I look at it is that even if a couple comes in and splits an appetizer and an entrée, you have no idea if they are just checking the place out to have a big birthday party or wedding reception.  It was a lot of fun, and after one four top, as they were leaving the woman asked if she could hug me!  Too cute.

Of course I nailed my steps!  I like how you can see that Shelley commented on my post from yesterday – hi Shelley!

I got home from the restaurant by 10:15 and brought home some seafood chowder, although Tony and I are convinced there was meat in it, even after the sous chef said it was all seafood, and had a glass of wine.  We caught up on some shows on the DVR and were in bed by midnight.  Nice!

I woke up this morning at 8:30 – still dog tired and after going to the bathroom, I contemplated cleaning the kitchen, or going back to bed.  BED WON!  I slept another two hours and I feel great.  Guess I must have needed it!

Alright, the storms are getting closer – hope you have a wonderful weekend and make it a great day!

April 12, 2014 at 4:52 pm Seeing that pizza makes me want to make your deep dish recipe, YUM! Glad you were able to get some extra sleep. I hope you don't have any serious storm stuff going on and you guys don't have any damage.

April 12, 2014 at 9:29 pm ZOMG deeeeeep disshhhh! There's a new restaurant in Omaha that claims to have Chicago deep dish. So far it has good ratings and the newspaper review was decent, too. I'll have to try it after we move! We are supposed to get a bit of rain tonight; radar looked like there was some hail and shit in western Iowa. Glad it skipped us! Have a great weekend!

April 14, 2014 at 12:52 am Yay for sleep! Wait, what is sleep again? ;) I still have never had deep dish pizza - it doesn't look like something I'd dig but then again, it's pizza and a whole lot of it so I'm sure it the bomb. I really don't think anyone around here makes it so it's up to me to do it. I still have your recipe pinned!
