The bed was big enough and I could lay next to him – his leg is really elevated, so it made it interesting for me to get out of bed because I am so short but it was so nice to snuggle!  One of our family rituals is to watch Wheel of Fortune.  He was dozing in and out and I thought “aha!  this my chance to answer all the puzzles!”

Um, not so much.  He was sleeping and I needed to figure out one word to guess the puzzle, he wakes up, takes one look at the puzzle and guesses it correctly!   Even in his weakened condition he still kicked my butt!

Since it is lent, I picked up Subway for dinner for us – I got Tony the tuna sub.   He still doesn’t have much of an appetite, but did manage to eat about 1/3 of it.  Hannah and I were surprised by how many veggies were available – baby spinach?!  We’ve never seen that at our local Subway!

So I got the turkey with lots of veggies – baby spinach, banana peppers, pickled jalapenos, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots = yum!

and all the veggies were fresh! I got the seasonings and about 1 tablespoon of honey mustard

Can I just say that I am less than thrilled about our upcoming weather??   Beginning Saturday night into Sunday morning – we are expected to get 3 – 6 inches of snow.  Nooo!!!!  I’ve already brought out our hose, I’ve put away the snow blower and shovels!  I know it won’t last long because it is supposed to be in the 60’s by the beginning of next week, but still!

Alright – another long day and I am off to relax a bit with Hannah.   Sleep tight Tony, I’ll see you in the morning – I love you!
