Weigh-In Monday – time to face the music!

Okay, so guess who got their butt out of bed at 6:15 a.m. and went to work out this morning – yep – me!  It was pitch black outside, all of 9 degrees and as soon as I stepped foot out of the door, I thought to myself “it’s not too late to go back to bed for another hour!”

But I stuck with it!  I ended up only able to do 35 minutes on hill climb – its amazing how quickly one can get out of shape!  And it’s only been like a month since I worked out!  My plan is to walk my dog tonight for 10 minutes to count as 45 minutes of exercise.  The machine said I burned 295 calories, not sure if that’s accurate though!

I also stepped on the scale: 167.4 is my official weigh-in today.  I’d like (as well as my doctor!) to get to 125 this year.  If only I were taller than 5.2″!!  I plan to weigh in only once a week, so Monday is the day!

Breakfast

  • 1/2 whole grain bagel
  • 1/4 cup egg beaters
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • .5 ounce sharp shredded cheddar
  • cracked pepper and Tabasco!

I am also drinking this!

This is a 20 ounce cup, so I plan on drinking at least 3 of these today!

I am going home for lunch with Tony, so my lunch post will be a combo with dinner tonight.  Hope everyone has a good day – check back for my dinner recipe tonight: Chicken Divan!

Great job with the water! I’ve been in a pretty good habit of drinking tons of water, but yesterday I didn’t and man oh man did I pay! By bedtime last night, I realized all I’d drank all day were sugary, caffeinated beverages and I was SO jittery, shakey, and clammy I felt sick. Never again!

Congratulations on getting your butt out of bed this morning! We match! I did it too! The first time in MONTHS that I have been able to get out of bed before work & drive my arse to the gym. I forgot how good I feel at work on days that I workout in the morning. We gotta keep it up! I have 10 more lbs to loose and it’s going to take a lot of work…this last little bit is taking a lot of serious dedication!

Congrats on getting out of bed – it’s rough when it’s cold, dark, and a Monday!

Enjoy lunch at home today 🙂

Isn’t it crazy how quickly you can get out of cardio shape? I feel awful after just one week.

I hear you on the height! (am barely 5 ft).

It’s way too easy to get out of shape. The good thing is, it feels GOOD to get back into the workout routine when we’ve been out of it, and we see results pretty quick!

If we were just taller we could weigh more and eat more. Shucks.

Good job on getting of the duff and exercising even though it was cold and dark. You “done” good.
