I came home today to find these new additions to the chalkboard menu!

Then this on the bottom:  Hannah was the culprit this time!

Tonight’s menu if you looked closely to yesterdays post was chili baked potatoes and salad.  To which Tony’s response was “then what’s for dinner?”  I ended up cooking him up a 1/2 pound burger as his base, with the chili and cheese and scooped out most of the potato for his tater skins.

I may have this Frito chip as an appetizer while the chili was heating up!

I scooped out a lot of my potato too and made chili boats!

I had a small romaine salad with red pepper and carrots on the side.  Half way through dinner I ask Tony, “is it hot in here or is it just me?”  I think it may have been the fresh jalapeno peppers!  I was actually sweating!

The chili I made was again from www.recipezaar.com, recipe # 11149, but we added an ingredient – cinnamon!  About a teaspoon to the whole pot and that brought the flavors together nicely – almost smokey!

I used 93% ground beef, and there was almost no fat - then you just dump all the rest of the ingredients in simmer for 2 hours

I actually think this is one of the best chili’s we’ve done!

Still not too late to comment on my previous post for the Annie’s salad dressing giveaway!

See you at breakfast!
